Everything merchants ask before they start.
If your question is not here, ask us — the answer usually ends up on this page afterwards.
Getting started
How long does it take to open a store?
About ten minutes for the store itself, plus however long it takes you to photograph and price what you sell. You need your business name, a WhatsApp number and at least one product.
Do I need a registered business?
Not to open a store and start building it. You will need your registration details and a bank or Mobile Money account in the business name before payouts can be set up with our payment provider, because they are required to verify who is receiving money.
Do I need my own website or domain name?
No. Every store gets its own Dzra address the moment you publish, and that link is what you put in your Instagram bio or WhatsApp status. Custom domain names are not available yet.
Can I move my existing products across?
You add products through the dashboard — name, photos, price, sizes and stock. There is no bulk import yet, so a large catalogue takes an evening. Tell us if that is what is stopping you.
Payments and money
How do my customers pay?
By Mobile Money — MTN, Telecel or AirtelTigo — or by Visa or Mastercard, at checkout on your store page. Everything is priced in cedis.
When does the money reach me?
Payments settle to the bank or Mobile Money account you register with our payment provider, on their settlement schedule, less their transaction fee and our commission. Dzra never holds your money in between.
What does Dzra charge?
Nothing to open a store. On the Free plan we take 3% of the goods total on each sale; on Business it is GH₵149 a month and 1%. The delivery fee you set is never touched.
Can a customer say they paid when they did not?
No. An order is marked paid only when the payment provider sends us a signed confirmation that the money went through. A customer returning to your page, or showing a screenshot, changes nothing in the system.
What about cash on delivery?
Not supported yet. Orders on Dzra are paid before they are confirmed, which is what makes the stock and order figures trustworthy.
Orders, stock and delivery
Who handles delivery?
You do, exactly as you do now. Dzra is where you set the areas you deliver to and the fee for each, so the customer sees the true total before paying and there is no argument at the door.
When does stock come down?
Only when a payment is confirmed. Adding an item to a cart reserves nothing, so an abandoned cart never takes stock off your shelf, and you never oversell to a customer who was only browsing.
What do I do when an order comes in?
It appears in your dashboard with the customer, their phone number, their address and what they bought. You move it along as you pack, send and deliver it, and every change is recorded on the order.
Can I still talk to my customers on WhatsApp?
Yes, and you should. Every store has a WhatsApp button, and every order has a one-tap message link. What changes is that the price, the stock check and the payment have already happened.
Your account and your data
Who can see my products, orders and customers?
Only you and anyone you add to your business. Every request is scoped to your business, so another merchant on Dzra cannot reach your data even if they know a reference or an identifier.
Is my customer list mine?
Yes. Customers who buy from your store are your customers. We do not market to them, and we do not sell or share the list.
What happens if I stop using Dzra?
You can close your store at any time, with no exit fee and no notice period. Ask us and we will send you your products, orders and customer records.
Can I get help from a real person?
Yes. WhatsApp or email support@dzra.com, Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm GMT. We aim to reply within one business day.
Still not answered here?
Ask a person. We reply within one business day, and good questions end up on this page.
Your store, open tonight.
No card needed, no setup fee. If you never sell anything, you never pay anything.
